On October 20th, we were giving a speech about An Artisan Designer Toy in the First Craft and Design Days in Valencia, organized by\u00a0queCraft.<\/a><\/p>\n

It was a pleasure to be invited in this Days, and more, to be exposing more than one hour our project and\u00a0exchanging views with the audience.<\/p>\n

We divided the speech into two distinct blocks. The first one, answering the question \u00abWich is the project origin?\u00bb<\/strong>, and the second one, \u00abWhat is this about?\u00bb.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jose exposed the first block. He\u00a0began presenting us, telling who we are, what we do and what is our experience. Then explained how we came to make a documentary about Designer Toys or Art Toys, and talked about the origin of the Toys, how was its worldwide expansion, classes, resins, customs, etc..<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Also said we had gone through a failed crowdfunding experience and, yet, we went ahead with our project. We reduced the budget and seek sponsors. So far we are lucky to have\u00a0Mondotoyz,<\/a>\u00a0Glaspol Composites,<\/a>\u00a0Tximino Art,<\/a>\u00a0Dibujando<\/a>\u00a0y\u00a0Vinyles Chiles.<\/a><\/p>\n

To conclude his presentation explained the current status of the project and what are the possible ways of distribution.<\/p>\n

I exposed the second block. I explained the content of the documentary, I talked about the different stages: Sketching, Modeling, Mold, Casting, Finishing and Packaging. And also on the content of each part, for example, how to manufacture two types of mold: solid mold and flexible mold. And two kinds of casting: solid casting and rotocasting.<\/p>\n

I was commenting on what is our method of work in each of the phases and what will be seen in the documentary. I also wanted to refer to the rest of designers participating in the documentary, which are:\u00a0Jesper Puchades<\/a>\u00a0de\u00a0HX Studio,<\/a>\u00a0Sergio Gallegos<\/a>\u00a0de\u00a0Vuitbits,<\/a>\u00a0Emilio Garc\u00eda<\/a>\u00a0de\u00a0Lapolab,<\/a>\u00a0No\u00e9 Mendoza<\/a>\u00a0de\u00a0Pipo&Astutto<\/a>\u00a0y\u00a0Erik Lee<\/a>\u00a0de\u00a0Turu Design.<\/a>\u00a0I mentioned\u00a0at some moments of the speech the commonalities and differences between our methods work, because we reached the same goal by taking different paths. And it will be seen in the film.<\/p>\n
